Design with Confidence

In 2024, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has given B31 Board approval to Viega to include ASTM F3226 Metallic Press-Connect Fittings as a listed component. The code includes several sections – Power Piping, Process Piping and Building Services Piping – where Viega ProPress® and MegaPress® systems are approved listed components. That means from new builds to timely repairs, engineers can have total confidence using Viega in industrial settings.

Benefits of Viega Press Technology

Benefits of Viega Press Technology
MegaPress fitting

No Flame Icon

Eliminate Hot Work

Soldering and welding equipment is responsible for nearly 1,200 fires causing $150 million dollars in property damage*. Viega press fittings require no open flames or hot work permits.

Lock Icon

Reliable + Quality Installation

Unlike grooved or threaded connections that reduce pipe wall thickness, Viega fittings preserve pipe integrity. All of our fittings come factory assembled for maximum consistency in the field.

Time Saving Icon

Faster, Consistent Connections

A simple 11-joint assembly takes just under 11 minutes to press*. Compare that to more than two-and-a-half hours of welding and you’re talking about some serious cost savings.

Sand Glass Icon

Reduce Downtime

When unplanned downtime can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars every hour, you need a product that can get you up and running faster. Viega press fittings reduce install time by up to 90%.

Approval of nonstandard applications requires chemical compatibility submission

Viega ProPress and MegaPress systems are approved for a wide variety of standard applications including: water, fuels, oils, lubricants, and gases.

They are also approved for more than 2,500 nonstandard applications including:

Potable Water Systems
Chilled Water Systems
Gas Systems
Hydronic Heating Systems
Radiant Heating/Snow Melt Systems
Patio Gas

Treated Water
Fire Sprinkler
Natural Gas
